I saw this in Buckhorn Park while water testing on Sunday. Can anyone tell me what these blobs are? Thanks

Great blobs! Looks like freshwater algae... but there are lots of kinds.

It's been a pretty busy year for algae overall, because of high temps early in the year and consistent rains washing in nutrients from the upper watershed. We had a big outbreak in Hoyt Lake in August.
